Job Overview
We are seeking a Lead Cardiovascular Technologist for a full-time opportunity in Eureka, California. The Lead Cardiovascular Technologist will provide advanced technical and clinical support within the Cardiovascular Imaging and Cath Lab department while assisting leadership with limited supervisory responsibilities.
This role requires strong cardiovascular imaging expertise, Cath Lab experience, leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform cardiovascular and interventional imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols
Assist physicians during Cath Lab and cardiovascular imaging procedures
Provide clinical and technical guidance to department staff
Support departmental workflow, daily operations, and quality standards
Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and imaging regulations
Monitor imaging equipment functionality and report operational concerns
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and procedural documentation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Serve as a resource for staff education, training, and procedural support
Requirements
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Imaging Technology program required
Active California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification required
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Cardiovascular and/or Interventional Imaging Technologist experience required
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
