Lead Direct Support Professional (Full-Time)

$200 Sign-On Bonus - Paid on Your First Paycheck

Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Position: Full-Time (40 Hours per Week)

Are you an experienced caregiver or Direct Support Professional ready to grow into a leadership position?

Rockwell Care Services is looking for a dependable and compassionate Lead Direct Support Professional to help oversee evening operations in one of our residential homes supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring others while continuing to provide exceptional hands-on care. You'll work closely with the House Manager to ensure residents receive outstanding support and that the home operates smoothly each day.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Provide high-quality direct support to residents

  • Serve as a lead staff member during evening shifts

  • Assist with daily coordination of the home

  • Coach and support Direct Support Professionals

  • Help maintain compliance with company policies and state regulations

  • Assist with scheduling and filling open shifts as needed

  • Complete resident documentation accurately and on time

  • Promote a positive, safe, and respectful living environment

  • Encourage residents to build independence and achieve personal goals

Daily Care Duties

  • Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming

  • Medication assistance and reminders

  • Meal planning and preparation

  • Household cleaning and organization

  • Transportation to appointments and community activities

  • Encourage participation in recreational activities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support

  • Help residents develop daily living and life skills

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, Med Tech, or similar healthcare role preferred

  • Six months or more of caregiving or disability services experience is a plus

  • Med Tech Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently

  • Valid Idaho Driver's License with a good driving record

  • Ability to pass required background checks
