Builders Mark General Contracting is a renovation-focused general contractor serving New York and surrounding areas. We specialize in kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, whole-home projects, additions, flooring, tile, and other residential and light commercial work. We are a small, experienced team that takes pride in craftsmanship, honest communication, and doing the job right.

We are looking for a Lead Carpenter/Renovation Specialist who is well-rounded, dependable, and comfortable working across multiple phases of residential renovation projects. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills, experience with kitchens and bathrooms, and the ability to help lead a project while maintaining quality, safety, and professionalism on the jobsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on carpentry and renovation work on kitchens, bathrooms, additions, flooring, trim, framing, and general remodeling projects.
• Read plans, follow project direction, and help move jobs forward efficiently.
• Coordinate with the owner, team members, subcontractors, and clients as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite.
• Help identify materials, tools, or project needs before they become delays.
• Support quality control throughout each phase of the project.
• Communicate clearly about progress, issues, and next steps.
• Represent the company professionally in occupied homes and client-facing environments.

Qualifications

• Strong carpentry and residential renovation experience required.
• Experience with kitchens, bathrooms, trim, framing, flooring, doors, cabinetry, tile prep, and general remodeling preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work.
• Reliable, honest, professional, and able to follow directions.
• Comfortable working in client homes and maintaining a respectful jobsite.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Must have basic hand tools commonly used in residential carpentry and remodeling work.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and carrying materials, climbing ladders, operating power tools, and working in occupied homes and active construction environments. 

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2 Employment
• Pay: $30-$40 per hour, based on experience, skill level, and ability to lead work in the field.
• Benefits include one week of paid vacation after an eligibility period, overtime opportunities when available, and some schedule flexibility based on project needs. 
• The typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional overtime or adjusted hours based on project needs.
