Lead Carpenter/Skilled Carpenter -- High-End Residential Remodeling
Location: Seattle, WA (job site-based with local travel)

Baklinski Home Improvement is hiring a Lead Carpenter or Skilled Carpenter to support our growing pipeline of higher-end residential remodeling projects.

This position can be hired as either a Lead Carpenter (leads a small crew and coordinates on-site execution) or a Skilled Carpenter (high-level individual contributor with strong finish capabilities). Either way, you'll work in occupied homes and represent our brand through your workmanship, cleanliness, and customer interaction.
Responsibilities
Finish Carpentry/ High-End Work
- Execute high-quality finish carpentry on residential remodels (trim, casing, base, built-ins, detail work)
- Install cabinetry and hardware with precision and care
- Complete punch lists and detail work to a "white glove" standard
- Perform related tasks as needed (drywall, minor framing/repairs, general carpentry support)
Leadership & Jobsite Execution (Lead Carpenter track)
- Lead a small crew and coordinate daily priorities on-site
- Work alongside subs and trades to keep the workflow smooth and efficient
- Maintain jobsite organization, safety, cleanliness, and quality control
- Communicate job status, needs, and blockers to leadership/operations
Customer Experience
- Interface professionally with homeowners, set expectations, answer questions, and communicate updates
- Protect the customer's home (cleanliness, respect, minimizing disruption)
- Handle changes/issues calmly and proactively
Qualifications
Required (both levels):
- Extensive residential carpentry experience with strong finish capabilities
- High standards for quality, detail, and cleanliness in occupied homes
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and stay organized
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to Seattle-area job sites
Required (Lead Carpenter track):
- Proven ability to lead or mentor others and keep a small team productive
- Comfortable coordinating day-to-day site execution and setting priorities
- Strong accountability mindset, quality, schedule, and professionalism
Preferred:
- Experience in higher-end remodeling environments
- Strong installation experience with cabinetry, trim packages, doors, and hardware
- Ability to coordinate subs and sequencing on active job sites
Compensation
- Full-time, W-2 Employment
- Lead Carpenter pay: $38.00 to $45.00 per hour (depending on experience and leadership scope)
- Skilled Carpenter pay: $35.00 to $38.00 per hour (depending on finish skill and experience)
- Paid Time Off (PTO) 7 paid Holidays per year.
- Health Insurance ( 50% employer-paid)
- Perks may include paid training, company-paid software/tools, and performance-based bonuses and compensation increases based on results and scope growth.
- Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, daytime hours; occasional overtime based on project needs.
