Lead Cashier

This position performs the same hands-on cashier, customer service, stocking, and inventory duties as the rest of our team, with additional responsibility for helping keep daily operations running smoothly and taking the lead when the Store Manager is not present.

Pay: $20.00–$21.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

This is a full-time position. Flexible availability is important, including evenings and weekends. Availability for longer or double shifts is strongly preferred. Specific scheduling will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service
• Handle customer transactions at the point of sale
• Restock merchandise and maintain organized displays
• Receive and verify deliveries and help maintain inventory
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Help guide other employees and keep daily tasks on track
• Handle routine customer or store issues when appropriate
• Help oversee store operations when management is not present
• Maintain a clean and organized store and stockroom

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, retail, or customer-service experience required
• Lead, key-holder, supervisory, or similar experience preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable taking responsibility
• Able to work independently and use good judgment
• Comfortable using a POS system and basic computer functions
• Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Evening, weekend, and holiday availability
• Looking for a long-term position
