Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Certified Endoscopy Tech, under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will help coordinate the daily workflow and GI/Endo program. You are responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results. You will be responsible for orientation, competencies of your staff, technician staff scheduling, patient scheduling, quality improvement and process improvements.

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform Endoscopy procedures and diagnostic tests
  • You will be responsible for performance improvement activities
  • You will manage inventory/supplies, charge entry data and reconciliation
  • You will demonstrate knowledge related to maintenance, cleanliness, and sterilization/disinfection of instruments and equipment
  • You will maintains a sanitary environment for the provision of patient care
  • You will preparing the endoscopy unit adequately and ensuring availability of necessary GI equipment and supplies
  • You will verify proper functioning of equipment prior to your procedures and report malfunctioning equipment immediately to nurse manager

Qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
  • 3 years of experience required, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center environment
  • Endoscopy Reprocessing Certification required
  • Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***Must be from the American Heart Association & online certification not acceptable
