Job Overview:
Pay Range: $67.66hr - $72.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
- Experienced in 3D modelling of Site earthworks, drainage, roads, etc.
- Expert in use of Civil modelling software such as Civil3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
- Experience with preparing Quantity takeoffs of Civil materials.
- Ability to attend in-person at least three days per week at the assigned office or project.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the work of civil designers and drafters for a project to include the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings.
- Develops designs for complete and complex civil engineering systems such as earthwork, drainage and road design with minimum supervision from which detailed scale models and/or construction drawings are completed.
- Assists in constructing detailed scale models.
- Prepares or assists with the preparation of assigned material requisitions and bid evaluations.
- Monitors and checks work for compliance with approved civil design standards to provide quality design, reliable/safe plant operation and construction economy.
- Participates in constructability reviews.
- Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort.
- Coordinates or makes jobsite visits, as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
- Reviews civil design scope changes, as required, for project management.
- Ensures civil systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standard.
- Collaborates to plan, develop, coordinate, and review project civil design work.
- Produces drawings, facilitates discussions, communicates complex technical issues, and prepares civil design estimates and work plans.
