JOB SUMMARY The Lead CNA Staffing and Scheduler is a Certified Nursing Assistant who provides leadership support while coordinating direct-care staffing coverage in a long-term care facility. This role ensures adequate staffing levels, supports compliance with regulations, and promotes quality resident care through organization, communication, and teamwork. Collaborates with Business Office to ensure accuracy of PBJ reporting. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Staffing Scheduling Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly CNA schedules based on census and acuity Ensure sufficient staffing coverage for all shifts, weekends, holidays, and high-acuity periods Coordinate coverage for call-outs, PTO, and unplanned absences Manage shift changes and assignments in accordance with facility policy and labor regulations Coordinate use of agency or per-diem staff when necessary Leadership Team Support Serve as a lead CNA and professional role model Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and training of new CNAs Communicate staffing needs and concerns to nursing leadership Promote compliance with facility policies and care standards Clinical Resident Care Provide direct resident care as needed to support staffing coverage Assign CNAs based on resident acuity and care requirements Monitor quality of care and report concerns appropriately Compliance Documentation Maintain accurate schedules, attendance records, and staffing reports Ensure compliance with state regulations and facility requirements Track overtime and staffing pattern trends POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experience and Licensure Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Wyoming, required. BLS, required. Central Registry, required. Demonstrated leadership abilities, required Strong organizational and communication skills required Has obtained, or will obtain in the first six months of hire, the status of Elder Care Coordinator Experience with the Green House model of nursing homes, preferred Previous staffing or scheduling experience, preferred Familiarity with electronic scheduling systems, preferred Work Environment This role includes both administrative and clinical duties and may require flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on facility needs. Specific demands not listed: Possible exposure to blood and or body fluids / infectious disease / hazardous waste requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Exposure to odorous chemicals / specimens and Latex products. Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required.
