Role OverviewThis role serves as the
technical authority for communications systems, ensuring reliable, resilient connectivity across all platforms in operational and contested environments.
The engineer will lead design, integration, and validation of
advanced communication architectures, enabling mission-critical connectivity and command-and-control.
Key Responsibilities- Define and develop communications architectures across platforms
- Design and implement:
- LOS (Line-of-Sight)
- BLOS (Beyond Line-of-Sight) systems
- Integrate:
- Tactical radios
- Mesh networks
- SATCOM
- LTE/5G fallback systems
- Ensure resilience via:
- Redundancy
- Anti-jamming strategies
- Frequency management
- Integrate communications with:
- Autonomy systems
- Mission systems
- Command-and-control platforms
- Evaluate and validate vendor solutions
- Define:
- Performance requirements
- Test strategies
- Acceptance criteria
- Conduct:
- RF performance analysis
- Field testing
- Sea trials
- Support customer demos and operational testing
Required Qualifications- Degree in Communications, RF, Electrical, or related field
- 5+ years in:
- Communications systems engineering
- RF engineering
- Network integration
- Strong knowledge of:
- LOS/BLOS architectures
- Tactical datalinks
- Secure networking
- Experience with:
- RF modeling tools
- Software-defined radio (SDR)
- Encryption technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Eligibility for U.S. Secret security clearance
