Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer. The position will be based at our facility in Sumter, SC.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

In the Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer role, you will lead and leverage the deployment and integration of the Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) throughout the Sumter facility and cross functional support teams in support of the site strategic goals and growth objectives.

In this function you will:

• Drive and facilitate Operational Excellence improvements and alignment across site cross-functional areas to include: EHS, Quality, Logistics, Materials, and Front-End Engineering

• Lead development, deployment, and sustainment of the Lean Daily Management System as part of ECIS across the Eaton Sumter Site: Daily Accountability, continuous improvement, process verification, standard work, visual management, 5S, etc.

• Directs and prioritizes successful Kaizen/Rapid Improvement Events focused on site-level objectives for the Sumter Facility.

• Utilize strategic ECIS Lean tools and methodologies to drive improvements in cross-functional workflows and operations support.

• Assist with development and deployment of the long-term CI roadmap for the Sumter facility.

• Utilizes, trains, coaches, and develops cross-functional leaders and team members, as well as other CI Team members, in the use of ECIS & Lean tools.

• Lead and Facilitate site Cost Saving objectives in relation to areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing and/or continuous improvement experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution

• Minimum 8 years manufacturing / Continuous improvement experience

• Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. Green Belt a Plus.

• Experience with low-medium volume, high mix, ETO manufacturing.

• Advanced skills and demonstrated experience with Lean tools, some Eaton specific: VSM, BPI, RIE, 5S, LMF, SUR, VAVE, IBD, etc.

• Cost Savings program experience supported with financial and business acumen

• Cost Savings program experience.

• Data Analysis, interpretation, and decision making through MS Excel, PowerBI, etc.

Position Criteria:

• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, computer) required.

• Advanced ability to facilitate effective problem solving and collaboration through influence and leadership.

• Advanced proficiency with basic problem-solving tools and lean manufacturing principles such as 5Why, A3, PDCA, 5S, kanban, push vs pull, visual controls, standard work, Pareto Principle, etc.

• Basic proficiency with advanced problem solving and lean principles such as VSM, DMAIC, and Lean Daily Management Systems.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PowerBI, etc.)

• Ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements.
