Our client, a leading data center and cloud infrastructure provider, is seeking a Lead Critical Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Lead Critical Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Engineering Operations Department supporting Critical Facilities and Data Center Operations Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

6–24-month contract
Shift Schedule: Day Shift

  • Data Center / Critical Facility Experience – Hands-on experience operating and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure environments

  • Electrical & Mechanical Systems Expertise – Strong knowledge of UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH systems

  • Leadership / Team Oversight – Experience leading technicians, managing shifts, and mentoring junior team members


What’s the Job?

  • Lead operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure (UPS, generators, switchgear, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH)

  • Monitor BMS/DCIM systems and respond to alarms to maintain environmental stability

  • Act as Shift Lead, coordinating team workload, priorities, and escalations

  • Train and mentor L1/L2 technicians through hands-on guidance and structured OJT programs

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, perform audits, and support incident response


What’s Needed?

  • 5+ years of experience in a data center or critical facilities environment

  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, cooling systems)

  • 1+ year of leadership or team lead experience

  • Knowledge of safety standards such as OSHA, LOTO, and NFPA 70E

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
