We are seeking to hire a Full Time Lead Custodian. We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and experienced person to join our public school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors while overseeing the daily custodial operations of the school building. The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude & appearance and be self-motivated, hardworking, dependable, and responsible.
Job Requirements
The Head Custodian is responsible for opening and preparing the school for daily operations while ensuring the building and grounds remain clean, safe, and well maintained. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections of the facility and boiler systems, cleaning classrooms and common areas, setting up for school programs and events, assisting with cafeteria operations, operating commercial cleaning equipment, responding to maintenance requests and emergencies, completing minor repairs, maintaining the school grounds, and performing seasonal deep-cleaning and weather-related maintenance to support a safe and welcoming learning environment.
Must be able to follow instructions from supervisor and complete all tasks effectively.
Prior cleaning/janitor experience is a plus but will train
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Reliable Transportation
Be able to use the auto scrubber machine
Be able set up for events
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
Benefits
Salary: $21.45/hr
Full-time
Hours: 40hrs/week, 6:45a.m - 3:45p.m, Monday - Friday
