Lead Service Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Compensation: $33.50 $37.00/hour

Position Overview
The Lead Service Technician is responsible for overseeing field service activities including maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical and power-related systems. This role combines advanced technical troubleshooting with team leadership, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support field technicians in performing maintenance, repairs, and installations on electrical and power systems
- Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues across a variety of systems and components
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members
- Coordinate service work with internal teams, customers, and project stakeholders
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and equipment records
- Order and manage parts, tools, and materials needed for service work
- Support customer interactions by explaining technical issues and solutions clearly
- Assist with technical input during customer meetings or project planning
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service needs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing electrical or power systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Experience working with backup power, battery systems, or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Proven ability to lead or mentor other technicians in the field
- Strong communication skills with both customers and internal teams
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass required background and screening processes
Preferred Background
- Technical certification or Associates degree in electrical or related field
- Experience in critical power environments, industrial systems, or similar settings
- Familiarity with inverters, control systems, and battery technologies
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs independently and heavier loads with assistance
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments including industrial sites and outdoor settings
- Ability to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Strong manual dexterity for hands-on technical work
