Earning Potential: $80,000 – $110,000+ annually

Position Summary
Promotive is hiring a Lead A Level Diagnostic Automotive Technician / Shop Foreman for a highly respected, growing shop in Mount Pleasant, SC. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity offering strong earning potential, excellent benefits, and a leadership role in a diagnostics-focused environment.
This position is ideal for a master-level automotive technician with advanced electrical and diagnostic expertise who’s ready to lead from the front. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily shop workflow, including dispatching, bay management, and productivity oversight
- Perform advanced diagnostics with a strong focus on electrical systems, drivability, and network communication
- Troubleshoot complex vehicle issues using lab scopes, scan tools, and OE-level diagnostic software
- Serve as the shop’s primary diagnostic expert and technical resource
- Mentor and coach technicians, especially in electrical and diagnostic skill development
- Collaborate with service advisors and leadership to ensure efficient operations and accurate repair plans
- Maintain high-quality repair standards and minimize comebacks
- Assist with training initiatives, process improvements, and overall shop performance
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience as an automotive technician
- Expert-level diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (especially electrical systems – REQUIRED)
- Strong understanding of drivability, CAN systems, and module communication
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience in a shop environment
- ASE certifications (A1–A8 or Master) preferred
- Experience in an independent repair shop environment strongly preferred
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and scan equipment
- Valid driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000 – $110,000+ annual earning potential
