Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of diesel mechanics in daily operations.
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Train and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance and support.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with management to prioritize repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.- Ability to obtain CDL
