Program Lead - Lead Direct Support Professional (DSP) - $1000 Hiring Bonus

Are you an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) looking to grow in your role? Community Access Services is now hiring a Program Lead in The Dalles, OR — a great opportunity for someone who is ready to take the next step in the field while continuing to provide hands-on, person-centered support.

As a Program Lead, you’ll continue to work directly with the individuals we serve while taking on additional responsibilities that support the day-to-day success of the home. This role is perfect for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about high-quality care.

What You’ll Do as a Program Lead:
  • Develop meaningful, person-centered relationships that support independence, dignity, and personal choice.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, personal care, and household routines.
  • Support individuals in community participation, recreation, appointments, and working toward personal goals.
  • Encourage skill development, confidence, and social connections.
  • Follow individualized support plans (full training provided).
  • Administer medications safely and keep accurate records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
  • Serve as a positive role model and advocate for the needs and preferences of those you support.

We’re Looking For in a Program Lead:
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with IDD
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to become an approved company driver.
  • Ability to pass a national background check.
  • Compassionate communicator with patience, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and assist individuals with mobility needs
  • Dependable, respectful, and committed to person-centered support
