What to expect in this role

  • Paid training: We offer a mix of infield shadowing and classroom training. You'll learn dryer-vent systems, components and tools in the classroom, then shadow a lead technician for several weeks until you're ready to work independently.
  • Independent work: Once trained, you'll manage your own schedule of 4–6 service calls per day. Your day typically begins between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
  • Active, hands-on work: Set up ladders, climb onto pitched roofs, work in attics, crawlspaces and behind dryers. It's like a light fullbody workout every day, so you'll need to be comfortable with physical activity.
  • Customer interaction: Treat each home with care and respect. You'll communicate with homeowners, explain what you're doing and answer their questions.
  • Documentation: Use our payroll app to clock in/out, and scheduling software to view schedules and record each job with photos and brief summaries.

Schedule & requirements

  • Full-time, daytime hours most days with occasional long days (10–14 hours) or night jobs, depending on the project.
  • Occasional Saturdays are required when customer needs demand.
  • Flexibility for overtime: We go until the job is done-our customers expect thorough work.

Technical Skill Set Requirements

1. Core Ventilation & HVAC Systems Expertise

  • Advanced knowledge of dryer vent systems, ductwork, and airflow dynamics
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Dryer vent system installation, maintenance, and cleaning
    • Exhaust systems and ventilation pathways
  • Ability to:
    • Diagnose airflow restrictions and inefficiencies
    • Perform full vent cleaning, rerouting, and system optimization
