The Lead Educator sets the tone for the classroom, overseeing daily operations, curriculum coordination, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment where children thrive. Effective Lead Educators understand child development, fostering a nurturing atmosphere where kids feel encouraged and supported. Strong communication skills enable them to connect with both children and adults, ensuring everyone's needs are met.
What You'll Do
· Plan and implement engaging activities aligned with early learning standards and developmentally appropriate practices, sparking children's curiosity and growth.
· Model excellence and guide teaching teams, promoting success and teamwork.
· Design activities that cater to individual needs, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive growth, and adhering to the TNELDS and curriculum.
· Regularly communicate with parents through various means, keeping them informed and involved in their child's progress.
· Ensure center policies and state regulations are adhered to, guaranteeing a secure environment.
· Maintain a spotless classroom, adhering to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
· Supervise educator assistants and volunteers, ensuring they follow established routines and guidelines.
· Keep accurate records and files up-to-date, reflecting the center's high standards.
· Embark on a personal journey of continuous learning, honing skills and expertise to ensure exceptional quality.
Requirements
· Strong professional background in childcare, preferably with at least 2 years of experience.
· Infectious energy and a passion for making a difference.
· Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as basic computer proficiency.
· Proven ability to collaborate with others, building a cohesive team environment.
· In-depth understanding of child development, allowing for tailored support.
· Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, guiding the team towards success.
· Current Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification or a willingness to obtain it.
· Commitment to ongoing education and professional growth.
· Pass a thorough background check and health screening.
· Ability to move freely, bend, and lift up to 35 pounds, as well as maintain reliable transportation.
