Title: Lead Electrical Engineer
Salary: $130k-$180k (DOE) + benefits
Locations available: Kansas City or Salt Lake City or Cincinnati
Schedule: Hybrid / 4 days a week in office
Lead Electrical Engineer
Overview: Seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to support industrial projects involving power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems. Projects range from facility upgrades to complex EPC projects across heavy industrial, pulp & paper, chemical, food & beverage, consumer products, and pharmaceutical sectors. Some travel to project and construction sites required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design power distribution systems, grounding, and electrical infrastructure
- Develop conceptual designs, equipment specifications, and construction scope documents
- Produce engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layouts, motor schematics, loop sheets, and routing drawings
- Support project planning, scheduling, execution, and startup/commissioning activities
- Review installations to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes
Qualifications:
- Experience designing and installing medium and low-voltage distribution systems within industrial or consulting environments
- Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, and NFPA standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit preferred
- Ability to manage onsite plant projects with minimal supervision and meet project budgets and schedules
- PE license or EIT with ability to obtain PE preferred but not required
