In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesOwn Supplier Quality End-to-End — Lead both Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Supplier Quality Development (SQD) activities for assigned suppliers, ensuring alignment with GE Vernova's standards of excellenceDrive Supplier Qualification — Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers through structured qualification processes; develop and manage action plans to close gapsLead Supplier Audits — Plan and execute supplier audits, ensuring compliance with applicable industrial and regulatory standards; develop improvement plans where deficiencies are identifiedMonitor & Improve Supplier Performance — Own supplier scorecards and performance data; drive data-driven improvement initiatives using APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, COPQ, corrective action (CAPA), and continuous improvement methodologiesChampion Problem-Solving — Apply root cause analysis and structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why) to resolve supplier quality issues and prevent recurrenceCollaborate Cross-Functionally — Work closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align quality strategy with business goals; provide informal mentorship to junior team membersSupport Supply Chain Build-Out — Play a foundational role in developing the North American BESS supply chain; engage with suppliers across the US, India, and Asia (especially in early tenure)Translate Technical Knowledge — Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to assess supplier capability and manage vendor performanceIncludes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. Specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
