We are seeking a Lead Electrician to oversee electrical work and provide hands-on support with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
This individual will help direct the daily activities of the electrical team while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes and quality standards. The Lead Electrician will work closely with production and other trades to keep projects moving and minimize interruptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide direction to a team of electricians while maintaining productivity and quality.
- Work with the Production Manager to organize daily assignments, schedules, and priorities.
- Perform electrical installations involving wiring, fixtures, equipment, and related systems.
- Inspect electrical work and equipment to identify potential issues or deficiencies.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and determine the appropriate course of action using testing equipment.
- Repair, replace, or adjust defective electrical components, including wiring, panels, and circuit breakers.
- Ensure completed electrical work meets applicable local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Coordinate electrical work with other trades and members of the production team.
- Follow all established safety practices and properly use required PPE.
- Document completed work, materials utilized, and applicable maintenance activities.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work environment.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of relevant electrical experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or lead experience.
- Current Journeyman Electrician license.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize work, communicate effectively, and lead a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain standing, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights and climbing ladders.
- Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces when necessary.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to safely perform electrical work in varying environmental conditions.
