DaneCo Electric is expanding into the Sacramento area and hiring a Lead Electrician to direct field crews on residential and commercial projects while staying hands-on with complex electrical installations. This is a senior field role for an experienced electrician who is ready to take ownershipof job site operations and crew performance, without stepping into the full Foreman-level administrative and project management scope. Sacramento-area residency strongly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Direct and coordinate the daily work of field crew members (Electrician I, Electrician II, Electrical Helpers) on assigned project segments.
  • Perform advanced electrical installations including panels, branch circuits, conduit systems, switchgear, and motor controls.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, single-line diagrams, and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical problems using advanced testing equipment.
  • Communicate daily job progress, material needs, and field issues to the Foreman.
  • Enforce all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Mentor Electrician I and Helper staff on installation techniques, code compliance, and safety.
  • Represent DaneCo professionally in interactions with GCs, inspectors, and other trades.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on electrical experience (residential and/or commercial).
  • California General Electrician (GE) certification required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the NEC and California Electrical Code.
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and direct small crews effectively.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.


Physical Requirements

This role requires regular lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
