In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and support integrated electronic security systems, including Access Control, Video Surveillance (CCTV), Intrusion Detection, structured cabling, and supporting network infrastructure.

What You Will Do
 
  • Lead the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic security systems
  • Install and terminate copper and fiber-optic cabling infrastructure
  • Install and configure Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and related security technologies
  • Set up and program security system communications networks
  • Install servers, workstations, clients, network devices, and supporting equipment
  • Perform system commissioning, functional testing, and quality assurance inspections
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, cabling, and network-related issues
  • Create and maintain installation documentation, test reports, and project records
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure successful project execution
  • Support project completion while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule requirements
 
What You Bring

Required:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training
  • Minimum 3 years of experience installing low-voltage systems, including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and structured cabling
  • Experience installing and terminating copper and fiber-optic cabling systems
  • AMAG Symmetry Access Control Essentials Certification
  • AMAG Symmetry End User System Manager Training
  • Knowledge of low-voltage electronics, wiring methods, and industry color standards
  • Understanding of electrical components, power supplies, and system connectivity
  • Experience working on construction sites and coordinating with multiple trades
  • Familiarity with electrical and communications testing equipment
  • Understanding of basic networking principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%
  • Ability to pass DMV, drug screening, and background verification requirements
  • Ability to obtain a federal government security clearance

Preferred:
  • Experience with Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS), including Access Control, Video Surveillance, or Intrusion Detection
  • Experience supporting federal government projects or agencies
  • Military technical or leadership experience
  • Understanding of communications networks and network troubleshooting
  • Experience leading installation teams or mentoring junior technicians
  • Industry certifications related to security systems, networking, or structured cabling

Pay Range: $32–$35 per hour, depending on experience
