Job Title: Lead Engineer – AI Agents

Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94085 (Local Candidates only/Onsite – No Remote)
Employment Type: Contract (Potential for Conversion)
Pay Rate: $40-$45 on W2

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Lead Engineer – AI Agents to drive the design, development, and deployment of next-generation intelligent agent systems. This role will focus on building scalable AI agents using modern LLMs and agent frameworks, while leading a team and owning end-to-end delivery from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI agents – design, development, deployment, and production support
• Build and scale agent-based systems that can reason, learn, and act across complex data environments
• Work hands-on with Python, LLMs, and agent frameworks (LangChain, Google ADK, etc.)
• Drive architecture decisions for scalable, reliable, and high-performance AI systems
• Integrate AI agents with internal data platforms and enterprise systems
• Solve challenges around agent reliability, evaluation frameworks, and privacy-preserving AI
• Collaborate with data science, engineering, and product teams to deliver production-grade solutions
• Mentor and guide engineers, ensuring best practices and technical excellence

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in Software Development / Machine Learning
• Strong hands-on experience in Python
• Solid experience working with LLMs (GPT, Gemini, etc.)
• Experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangChain, Google ADK
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents in production
• 4+ years of experience in a technical leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building agentic systems at scale with measurable impact
• Strong knowledge of evaluation frameworks for AI agents
• Experience optimizing systems for latency, scalability, and cost
• Exposure to hybrid/cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
• Contributions to AI/LLM/agent ecosystem (projects, papers, open-source)
• MS/PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field
