Lead Enterprise Architect

Expression is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to support the execution of a long-term Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) enterprise engineering and operations support program.

The Lead Enterprise Architect is the subject matter expert for network and cloud architecture and design. This role leads application and network architecture and design efforts, advises the Government on IT system strategy, develops business cases and ROI analyses for new technologies, and researches and evaluates emerging networking technologies to support the CISA mission.

Work Location:

• Onsite in the DMV area and Pensacola, Florida.

Security Clearance:

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Must obtain and maintain a favorable DHS Fitness (Entry-on-Duty) determination prior to receiving unescorted access to Government facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead application and network architecture and design across CISA enterprise IT (SDN/SD-WAN, IAM, mobility, collaboration, cloud hosting, and communications).
• Develop and maintain the enterprise technology strategy, target architecture, network taxonomy, and architecture standards.
• Develop business cases and determine Return on Investment (ROI) for new technologies and solutions.
• Advise on IT system strategy and produce conceptual and logical designs and System Design Documents (SDDs).
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and apply Agile and Scrum frameworks on projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or information systems.
• Experience in network engineering and a minimum of 5 years in network architecture.
• In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 10 years of experience in IT architecture and engineering, for a total of 15 years.
• Subject matter expertise in network and cloud architecture and design.
• Demonstrated experience developing business cases / ROI, architecting solutions to meet business and functional requirements, and applying Agile/Scrum; broad knowledge of application development frameworks and methodologies.
