Lead Estimator - Commercial Construction - NoVA

The Lead Estimator - Commercial Construction - NoVA will:

• Lead preconstruction efforts, including budgeting, estimating, and bid strategy
• Serve as a primary contact for clients, building strong relationships and identifying new opportunities
• Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates, including quantity take-offs
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure competitive and accurate pricing
• Partner with architects, engineers, and internal teams to drive value engineering initiatives
• Prepare bid packages, GMP documentation, and preconstruction presentations
• Analyze drawings and specifications to define scope and pricing strategy
• Support project planning, scheduling, and transition to operations teams
• Maintain cost databases and track historical pricing for future estimates
• Participate in networking, client meetings, and industry events to drive business development

The Lead Estimator - Commercial Construction - NoVA will receive:

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or Preconstruction professional in construction
• Strong ability to produce conceptual through detailed estimates across project types
• Experience managing subcontractor bidding and pricing analysis
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent client-facing and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work full-time on-site in McLean, VA (no hybrid flexibility)
