Compensation



$130000 - $175000 / year





Position Summary



The Senior Estimator Prepares cost estimates for projects in the planning, design, and construction phases. Produces bid proposals and prepares buy-outs. 





Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties

+ Lead estimating team and supervise preparation of project cost estimates.

+ Review and approve bid packages and pricing.

+ Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify scope and technical requirements.

+ Maintain cost databases and historical project data.

+ Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions.








Required Skills and Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.

+ 7–10 years of estimating experience in rail or heavy construction.

+ Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials, and labor.

+ Leadership, communication, and analytical skills.








Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

+ Works indoors, with some onsite/outdoor work 

+ Frequently sits, stands, walks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard 

+ May be exposed to harsh weather conditions including very hot and very cold weather.
