Job Summary and Qualifications · Supervises EVS staff work activities to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the hospital. · Makes staff assignments and delegates work requests. Starts each shift ensuring coverage of all assignments/units. · Monitors staff performance, correcting and retraining as necessary. Reports concern to manager. · Trains all new EVS staff. · Assists with interviewing, hiring, coaching, and evaluation activities as directed. · Communicates with customers to resolve problems · Orders linen and maintains linen room. Collects and transport clean and soiled linen. · Orders supplies and maintains supply room. · Maintains buildings by performing such tasks as high/low dusting, toilet and shower cleaning and sanitizing, making beds, window cleaning, cafeteria clean up, cleaning walls and removing trash · Maintains floors by mopping, buffing, shampooing, vacuuming, and sweeping; may be required to strip and wax floors · Cleans, sanitizes and stores equipment according to the procedure · Adheres to hospital policies and procedures · Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct · Conduct reflects the Company's values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct · Performs other duties as requested or required What qualifications you will need: Prefer two years' experience in a housekeeping capacity in a hospital and / or healthcare facility.
