About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Executive Recruiter to support executive-level hiring across its revenue-generating businesses. This role will focus on hiring Managing Directors within Corporate Investment Banking. The Executive Recruiting team, part of the broader Talent Acquisition organization, provides enterprise-level consulting and advisory services. The team leads complex, and at times highly confidential searches, including market mapping, research, succession planning, talent pipelining, and sourcing. This role will partner closely with key HR stakeholders and engage directly with senior executive leadership across the organization.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex, cross-functional executive hiring initiatives and serve as a strategic advisor to the Executive Recruiting function
  • Analyze large-scale, multi-faceted business needs, including ambiguous or unprecedented factors, to inform hiring strategies
  • Own end-to-end recruitment strategy for critical roles, including sourcing, assessment, development, and hiring recommendations
  • Serve as primary relationship manager for senior executive searches, managing candidate engagement, negotiations, and offer acceptance
  • Design and implement executive recruiting strategies, processes, and best practices to meet advanced talent needs
  • Build and cultivate diverse executive talent pipelines through proactive sourcing and market mapping
  • Operate with strong judgment in complex situations, ensuring alignment with policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Lead projects, mentor team members, and manage external search partners to drive results and enhance recruiting capabilities
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Executive Recruiting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in large, highly matrixed organizations; banking/financial services
  • Deep understanding of Corporate Investment Banking business models (e.g., capital markets, M&A advisory, trading, structured finance) and relevant talent competitors
  • Strong ability to confidently consult on recruiting practices and process with partners and line of business leaders.
  • Expertise in market mapping, succession planning, talent research, and building executive talent pipelines for niche or hard-to-fill roles
  • Proven track record of leading senior executive searches (C-suite pipelines) across multiple business lines
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience advising and influencing senior leaders and HR partners
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in highly confidential environments with sound judgment and discretion

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$143,000.00 - $224,000.00
