Lead Software Engineer – Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO

Remote | EST/CST preferred

5% travel | Quarterly travel to HQ required

We’re hiring a Lead Software Engineer with strong Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 FO) experience to join a growing technology team supporting and enhancing a critical D365 environment.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who enjoys development, solution design, code architecture, DevOps, integrations, and mentoring while still being actively involved in the code.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and enhance solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO
• Design and develop forms, screens, views, workflows, reports, and business logic
• Build integrations between D365 FO and enterprise systems
• Develop using C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, XML, Web API/REST
• Participate throughout the full SDLC, including design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support
• Establish and enforce development patterns, coding standards, and best practices
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to solution architecture and technical design
• Lead POCs, design sessions, and pair programming efforts
• Partner with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Project Managers, QA, infrastructure teams, and external consultants
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and support production deployments
• Monitor D365 environments and help ensure appropriate security, performance, and data management practices
• Mentor junior developers and help onboard new team members
• Evaluate new D365 FO releases and identify potential impacts and opportunities
• Help drive effective DevOps practices, including automated builds, deployments, and performance testing

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of application development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Strong C# / .NET Framework or .NET Core development experience
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and XML
• Experience with Web API / REST
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of software development principles including SOLID, Object-Oriented Design, DRY, and Domain-Driven Design
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable providing technical leadership while remaining hands-on

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred

Location & Travel

100% remote (US based) with a preference for candidates working EST or CST hours.

Candidates must be able to travel to company headquarters quarterly. Approximately 5% travel is expected.
