Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Fabricator / Installer to join a well-established, family-owned company with more than 60 years of success. This leadership role combines hands-on fabrication work in the shop with travel-based installation projects throughout the region.

The ideal candidate has extensive fabrication experience, strong blueprint reading skills, proven leadership abilities, and takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship from fabrication through final installation.
Required Experience & Skills
5 10 years of fabrication and installation experience required
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Experience leading teams, projects, or installation crews
Experience working with stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and bronze
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability to travel for installation projects as needed
Reliable transportation to and from the shop
Strong communication and leadership skills
Dependable attendance and professional work ethic REQUIRED
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead fabrication and assembly of custom metal components and products
Read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and fabrication drawings
Oversee fabrication quality, workflow, and production efficiency
Lead installation projects at customer locations and job sites
Work with stainless steel, brass, aluminum, bronze, and related materials
Operate grinders, sanders, polishers, and fabrication equipment
Ensure projects meet quality standards, deadlines, and customer expectations
Mentor and support junior fabricators and installers
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures and project requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience managing fabrication projects or installation teams
Architectural metal fabrication experience
Advanced finishing, polishing, and custom fabrication skills
Experience coordinating field installations and customer-facing projects
Travel Requirements
Out-of-state travel required for installation projects
Project durations may range from several days to 1 1.5 weeks
Hotel accommodations and meals provided on a company card
Travel completed in company vehicles with the installation team
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and material handling
Ability to work in fabrication shops and construction environments
Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors during installations
Work Environment
Fabrication shop and field installation environments
Exposure to fabrication equipment, metal materials, grinders, and polishing tools
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on craftsmanship and quality
Travel-based project work requiring flexibility and adaptability
Additional Requirements
Must pass a 5-panel drug screen, including THC
Background check required
No violent felony convictions;other offenses considered on a case-by-case basis after five years
