Roles and Responsibilities
The FP&A Analyst - Income Statement will be an integral part of the GE WIND HQ Strategic Finance (FP&A) team. The selected candidate will work with the CFO, WIND FP&A Executive, Finance Managers & business leaders to:
Conduct your own analyses of key P&L lines and improve the understanding of key drivers: develop a deep understanding of Income statement KPIs.
Develop a thorough knowledge of Data Requests (DR), SAM (Sales and Margin) process, FP&A Masterfiles and Profit Walks. Use previous experience and acquired expertise to analyze performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cost control, as well as corrective action plans as needed.
Focus on P&L execution activities. Support weekly pacing, closings, and financial data reporting on a monthly basis.
Use technical expertise and judgment to solve problems, create and improve financial processes, and monitor development. Demonstrate the technical skills and analytical thinking necessary for problem-solving.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college
At least 5 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Finance & Income Statement. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
