About the Role

Ace Limousine & Airport Service is seeking an experienced Lead Fleet Mechanic to take ownership of our fleet maintenance operations. This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for a skilled mechanic who is ready to step into (or grow into) a lead/supervisory position.

You’ll work directly on vehicles while also building systems, mentoring technicians, and driving continuous improvement as our company grows.

Fleet Overview

Our diverse fleet includes:

  • Ford Transit & Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans
  • Ford E450 / F550 & Freightliner Shuttle Buses
  • MCI Motor Coaches
  • Luxury SUVs and Sedans (Suburban, Lincoln, Volvo)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a mixed fleet of gas and diesel vehicles
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, AC, suspension, and brake issues
  • Lead and mentor junior mechanics while maintaining high standards of workmanship
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and SOPs
  • Track vehicle downtime, parts inventory, and maintenance costs
  • Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors when needed
  • Ensure DOT compliance, safety standards, and vehicle readiness
  • Help build scalable maintenance processes to support company growth

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of strong fleet or commercial vehicle maintenance experience
  • Solid diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across gas and diesel engines
  • Experience with buses, shuttles, vans, and commercial AC systems is a big plus
  • Previous lead or mentoring experience preferred (or strong desire to grow into a leadership role)
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • CDL is a plus but not required
