Lead Flexographic Press Operator

Location: Garner, North Carolina

A day on the press line

It’s 4:00 pm in Garner and the press bay hums to life. You power up your flexographic press, verify materials, and walk the line—checking every roll destined for Healthcare, Consumer Brand, and Technology clients worldwide. You document each step in the Production Traveler, keep your station spotless to prevent hazards, and troubleshoot with calm, logical thinking. When needed, you huddle with fellow operators and management to fine-tune settings and hit the quality mark AWT is known for.

What you’ll do

• Operate a flexographic printing press safely and efficiently.
• Complete and maintain the Production Traveler documentation.
• Keep the press and surrounding area clean to prevent hazardous conditions.
• Apply strong attention to detail to complete tasks thoroughly and accurately.
• Use critical thinking to evaluate problems and determine effective solutions.
• Visually inspect each roll for accuracy and to ensure it’s free of defects.
• Collaborate with other press operators and/or management to achieve desired outcomes.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 4:00 pm–2:00 am. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.
