Givens Aldersgate is hiring a Full-Time Lead Floor Care Technician to join our Environmental Services/Housekeeping team. The primary purpose of your position is to support the independent residents health and well-being by ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of the residents apartments, homes, rooms as well as common areas by performing various routine cleaning and light maintenance procedures, observing universal precautions, and maintaining a trustworthy relationship with residents and staff. the schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:00p with the possibility of occasional weekend duties.
What youll do:
- Support Environmental Services Supervisor with campus wide housekeeping, floor care, and laundry duties
- Assist in distributing and monitoring campus wide inventory of housekeeping supplies
- Report to the Environmental Services Supervisor or other appropriate staff any concerns of safety or health that may exist in work areas, including maintenance problems
- Perform routine and preventative cleaning duties and cover schedules during absences of other Environmental Services staff
- Assist Supervisor in coordinating with maintenance department to ensure all refurbishments and re-marketing are completed in a timely manner
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What youll need:
- Two years previous experience in a related supervisory position is preferred;
- Must have valid NC Drivers License
- High School or GED equivalent is preferred
- Must possess knowledge of general floor care/housekeeping procedures and operations of equipment
Compensation: $19.00 to $20.00 per hour
