Client Overview:
Our client is a growing technology organization specializing in enterprise SaaS solutions for the higher education industry. The company develops innovative software platforms that help educational institutions streamline operations, automate workflows, and improve efficiency. They are seeking an experienced Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to join their growing Engineering team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$120k - $140k Annually

Position Overview:
This Lead Full Stack Software Engineer role is a hands-on technical leadership position focused on designing, developing, and scaling enterprise SaaS applications using Python, Node.js, React, and AWS. The ideal candidate has a strong full-stack engineering background, experience leading Development teams, and expertise in cloud-based application architecture. The role also involves integrating emerging AI technologies into existing products and engineering workflows.

Responsibilities of the Lead Full Stack Software Engineer:

• Lead the design, development, and scaling of enterprise SaaS applications.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Node.js, and React.
• Design and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and serverless solutions.
• Mentor and manage software engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to prioritize features and deliver scalable solutions.
• Establish engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Design and integrate agentic AI workflows into existing applications.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and development efficiency.

Required Experience/Skills for the Lead Full Stack Software Engineer:

• 5 - 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Python, Node.js, and React.
• Experience designing and scaling cloud-based SaaS applications.
• Strong AWS experience, including Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, and EC2.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or AWS Aurora.
• Experience with modern API development and application architecture.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing Software Engineers.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code review processes.
• Experience building agentic AI workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, or similar frameworks.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Lead Full Stack Software Engineer:

• Experience with GraphQL or AWS AppSync.
• Familiarity with Ant Design, Bootstrap, and SSO integrations.
• Experience with Golang.
• Experience migrating applications toward serverless architectures.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is required.
