Lead GenAI Engineer

BEPC is actively looking for Lead GenAI Engineer, in South San Francisco, CA area!

W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions!

Pay Rate: $80.00 - $91.51/hour - Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)

Work Model: Hybrid role – Candidates must be able to work onsite 1–2 days per week at the South San Francisco, CA site.

Focus: Agentic Content-Application Architecture and Orchestration

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Lead GenAI Engineer to join our client’s site in South San Francisco, CA. This role will support the design and development of a stateful, headless GenAI application that helps commercial marketers create grounded and personalized content.

The application will coordinate multiple agents and enterprise services, maintain conversational and project state, and generate structured JSON or HTML content blueprints that downstream platforms can assemble into finished assets.

This role requires the individual to propose the architecture, make key technical decisions, and code critical components. This is not a coordination-only lead role.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and build a stateful, headless GenAI application for grounded and personalized content creation.

• Coordinate multiple agents and enterprise services.
• \n
• Maintain conversational and project state.
• \n
• Generate structured JSON or HTML content blueprints for downstream platforms.
• \n
• Design stateful, multi-turn, and multi-agent orchestration.
• \n
• Design API-first architectures and structured contracts.
• \n
• Build headless services that produce structured outputs for downstream applications.
• \n
• Integrate GenAI applications with enterprise platforms, data services, and content repositories.
• \n
• Work with RAG, grounding, application state, memory, evaluations, and production observability.
• \n
• Build streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with clarification flows, conversation history, and error handling.
• \n
• Render structured responses, including tables, charts, citations, and reusable results.
• \n
• Propose architecture and establish coding patterns.
• \n
• Make key technical decisions.
• \n
• Review other engineers’ work.
• \n
• Develop production code and critical application components.
• \n

Main Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

• \n
• Significant hands-on experience architecting and building production GenAI applications.
• \n
• Strong Python or TypeScript software engineering and microservices experience.
• \n
• Experience designing stateful, multi-turn, and multi-agent orchestration.
• \n
• Strong API-first architecture and structured-contract design experience.
• \n
• Experience building headless services that produce structured outputs for downstream applications.
• \n
• Experience integrating GenAI applications with enterprise platforms, data services, and content repositories.
• \n
• Experience with RAG, grounding, application state, memory, evaluations, and production observability.
• \n
• Experience building streaming, multi-turn GenAI interfaces with clarification flows, conversation history, and error handling.
• \n
• Experience rendering structured responses, including tables, charts, citations, and reusable results.
• \n
• Ability to propose architecture, establish coding patterns, make technical decisions, review other engineers’ work, and produce production code.
• \n
• Strong AWS, Amazon Bedrock, and AgentCore experience.
• \n

Preferred Qualifications:

• \n
• Experience with content generation, content-as-code, personalization, or marketing-technology platforms.
• \n
• Experience with Workfront, Veeva Vault PromoMats, AEM Assets, or comparable enterprise content systems.
• \n
• Experience in commercial pharma or another regulated content environment.
• \n
