Lead Glazier / Glazing Foreman

Position Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Lead Glazier / Glazing Foreman to oversee commercial and residential glazing projects. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for leading installation crews, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to mentor and develop team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise glazing crews on commercial and residential projects.
• Install storefront systems, curtain walls, doors, windows, mirrors, glass railings, and other glazing systems.
• Plan daily work activities and assign tasks to crew members.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
• Conduct daily safety talks and participate in regular safety meetings.
• Train, coach, and mentor new and existing employees on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and company standards.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure workmanship meets customer expectations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers to ensure successful project completion.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Enforce company policies, OSHA regulations, and job site safety requirements.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and resolve issues in the field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial and/or residential glazing experience.
• Previous Foreman, Lead Glazier, or Crew Lead experience required.
• Strong knowledge of storefront systems, curtain walls, insulated glass, doors, windows, and glazing installation methods.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to train, motivate, and hold crew members accountable.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work at heights, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
