Lead GMAW Fabrication Specialist

Schedule: Mon–Thu, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (four 10-hour shifts)

Step onto an air‑conditioned production floor built for craftspeople and start your evening by reviewing prints, confirming weld symbols, and selecting the optimal method when the blueprint leaves it open to your judgment. You’ll run a first‑article weld, collaborate with Quality for inspection, then move confidently into production—tracking counts, organizing your queue by complexity and cycle time, and delivering clean, consistent results.

What You’ll Do

• Produce precise, efficient welds that meet customer specs and shop standards.
• Determine the appropriate welding approach when not specified on the print.
• Perform first‑piece checks and submit to QA prior to full production.
• Document production to ensure correct part counts and traceability.
• Sequence work by difficulty, method, and target completion to hit deadlines.
• Contribute to a safety‑first culture and take on additional duties as needed.

What You Bring

• Availability to work Mon–Thu, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM.
• 3+ years of MIG (GMAW) welding/fabrication experience.
• Blueprint literacy and fluency with weld symbols.
• Proficiency welding flat, horizontal, and vertical‑up positions.
• Capability to weld mild steel, stainless steel, and galvannealed steel.
• Strong focus on detail, quality, and throughput.

• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Troubleshooting and problem‑solving
• OSHA 10‑Hour certification
• Accurate tape measure use
• Setting up welds for production runs
