Lead Histotechnologist OR Senior Histology Technician Opening on Day Shift

Position Overview

The Lead Histotechnologist provides day-to-day supervision of histology operations, helping the laboratory maintain efficiency, quality, productivity, and turnaround-time goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervise specimen preparation, cutting, staining, and special testing 
• Coordinate staffing and ensure appropriate coverage for calls
• Work with pathologists to evaluate the quality of slides and stains
• Implement timely and thorough corrective actions when quality concerns arise
• Identify instrument and procedural issues, assess problems, and take appropriate action
• Document corrective actions and troubleshooting steps according to laboratory procedures
• Support compliance with established quality, safety, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• AS Degree or BS Degree
• Current Florida License as either Histology Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or Clinical Laboratory Supervisor 
• HT OR HTL ASCP certification pref
