Lead Host / Maître D’ – $20–$22/hr + Tips – Fine Dining

Spiga Cucina Italiana is seeking an experienced, polished and hospitality-driven Lead Host / Ma tre D to lead our front-door experience and help manage the flow of our dining room.

This is more than a traditional host position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the guest experience from the moment a reservation is made until the guest is seated and settled.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage reservations and the host stand using OpenTable
  
• Strategically assign tables and manage seating rotation
  
• Pace reservations to support smooth kitchen and service flow
  
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders and management throughout service
  
• Handle VIPs, regular guests, special requests and celebrations
  
• Manage large parties and private-dining arrivals
  
• Handle guest concerns professionally and graciously
  
• Answer phones and maintain excellent reservation etiquette
  
• Lead, train and set expectations for the host team
  
• Maintain an organized, polished and welcoming entrance
  
• Communicate wait times accurately and confidently
  
• Anticipate problems before they affect the guest experience
  

What we're looking for: At least 2 years of upscale or fine-dining experience is preferred, along with strong OpenTable knowledge, excellent communication skills and the confidence to make decisions during a busy service. The right person should be warm and personable with guests while also being organized, assertive and able to lead a team.

Schedule: Evening and weekend availability required.
