The Lead Housekeeper provides direction to housekeeping staff under the direction of Environmental Services Director. Provides a clean, safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors.

 

This full-time schedule includes:

  • 80 hours per two week pay period
  • Day shift
  • Weekends as needed

Responsibilities

  • Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned.
  • Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas, including vacuums carpets, sweeps and mops hard floor surfaces, dusts and/or damp wipes surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms, cleans all glass windows/mirrors.
  • Prioritizes tasks and completes within allotted time.
  • Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed.
  • Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding specifications of resident’s individualized housekeeping needs.
  • Performs job duties safely, using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment.
  • Safely mixes chemicals according to instructions provided by the manufacturer
  • Consistently follows safe body mechanics
  • Demonstrates precautionary work practices for the safety of others in the work areas, such as electric cords, wet floor signs, etc.
  • Completes all OSHA training modules in a timely manner.
  • Maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains housekeeping cart and storage area on daily basis.
  • Safeguards others’ well-being by keeping chemicals and other hazardous materials locked when not in active use.
  • Communicates supplies that need to be re-stocked.
  • Communicates need for equipment repairs.
  • Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout requirements per policy.
  • Participates actively in team meetings, reports on current state in the Community, providing feedback on housekeeping-related items as they arise.
  • Leads Housekeeping staff in carrying out cleaning procedures:
  • May assist in interviews for hiring new staff.
  • Provides appropriate performance feedback to Environmental Services Director regarding staff performance.
  • Assists staff in problem solving.
  • Helps conduct regular staff meetings with Environmental Services Director.
  • Ability to do audits/checks.
  • Teaches and coaches staff on new learning opportunities.
  • May assist with developing work schedules for housekeeping.
  • May assist in ordering supplies for housekeeping.


Required Qualifications

  • 1 year Housekeeping
  • Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions.

Preferred Qualifications

    • A.A./A.S.
    • 3 years
    • Experience utilizing software programs such as Educare or TELS in order to complete necessary job functions
Qualifications:

$17.26- $24.93 Hourly
