    Job Description

    Position Summary

    The Lead Housekeeper serves as the on-site leader for the housekeeping team, ensuring guest residences, cottages, townhomes, and common areas consistently meet luxury hospitality standards.

     

    Wages: $23.00 per hour
    Status: Full-time

     

    What You'll Do

    Leadership

    • Lead daily housekeeping operations.
    • Assign room attendants and housemen based on occupancy.
    • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities.
    • Coach, train, and mentor housekeeping staff.
    • Promote teamwork, accountability, and high performance.

    Quality Assurance

    • Inspect all cleaned residences prior to guest arrival.
    • Ensure Forbes-level cleanliness and presentation standards.
    • Verify:
      • Dust-free surfaces
      • Sanitized kitchens and bathrooms
      • Proper linen presentation
      • Functioning appliances
      • Inventory standards
      • Clean BBQs
      • Patio presentation
      • Seasonal fireplace presentation
    • Correct deficiencies immediately.

    Operations

    • Monitor daily arrival and departure schedules.
    • Coordinate with Front Desk, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
    • Ensure guest requests are completed promptly.
    • Report maintenance issues through the work order system.
    • Track housekeeping productivity.

    Inventory

    • Monitor linen and terry inventory.
    • Maintain housekeeping supply levels.
    • Ensure housekeeping carts remain fully stocked.
    • Report damaged or missing inventory.

    Training

    Train new employees on:

    • Cleaning procedures
    • Safety practices
    • Chemical handling
    • Guest privacy
    • Luxury presentation standards
    • Provide ongoing coaching and quality training.

    Safety

    • Follow OSHA safety standards.
    • Handle cleaning chemicals properly.
    • Promote safe lifting practices.
    • Report hazards immediately

     

    About You
    • 3+ years of housekeeping experience
    • 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred
    • Luxury hotel or resort experience preferred
    • Strong communication and leadership skills
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to work weekends and holidays
    • Valid driver's license preferred

    Physical Requirements

    • Lift up to 50 pounds
    • Bend, kneel, and reach frequently
    • Walk several miles throughout the day
    • Stand for extended periods
    • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

    The posted pay range represents the hourly rate the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of hire. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and business needs.
