As our Lead HVAC Installation Mechanic, you’ll guide residential retrofit and replacement projects from first handshake to final walkthrough—while developing the next generation of installers.

Lead the work

  • Plan and execute residential HVAC system installations, upgrades, and replacements.
  • Perform precise copper/PVC piping (cutting, threading, connecting) and high/low-voltage wiring.
  • Model safety and quality, aligning to appliance standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and our service standards.
  • Deliver clear, respectful communication with homeowners and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage tools, parts, and vehicle cleanliness to professional standards.
  • Coach Install Helpers on techniques, productivity, and craftsmanship—on-site and in the shop.
  • Handle additional duties as needed to ensure job success.

Bring your strengths

  • 1+ year of HVAC experience, preferably in residential settings.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • EPA certification.
  • Strong diagnostics and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Hands-on, proactive mindset with pride in workmanship.
  • Customer-first attitude and professional presence with all teammates.
  • Collaborative, adaptable approach in changing environments.

Work conditions you’re ready for

  • Lift 50 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs on occasion.
  • Climb ladders; access attics and crawlspaces; maneuver in tight spaces; push, pull, carry; use hand tools; execute fine detail tasks.
  • Drive as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Operate in indoor/outdoor settings, including attics and crawlspaces.
  • Stand, walk, sit; talk/hear in person and by phone.
  • Use hands for handling/feeling and reach with hands/arms.
  • Frequently stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.
  • Work in extreme heat/cold and adverse weather like wind, rain, ice, or snow.
