Company: AirCo Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing
Department: Installation
Reports To: Installation Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
At AirCo, we believe great service starts with great people. We are committed to providing exceptional HVAC, heating, and plumbing services while creating an environment where our team members can grow, develop their skills, and build a career.
Our culture is built around three core values:
Integrity. Servant's Heart. Relentless Improvement.
We are looking for an experienced HVAC installer who is ready to take the next step in their career and lead a team while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
The Lead HVAC Installation is responsible for leading residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish. This position is the primary leader in the field and is responsible for ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, professionally, and according to AirCo's quality standards.
The Installation Lead will work alongside helpers and installers, provide hands-on leadership and training, communicate with homeowners and management, and take ownership of the overall quality of each installation.
This is a working lead position. You will be expected to install equipment alongside your team-not simply supervise from the sidelines.
Lead residential HVAC replacement and installation projects.
Install furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, coils, thermostats, ductwork, refrigerant lines, drains, and related HVAC equipment.
Review the job scope and equipment before beginning each installation.
Assign responsibilities and tasks to helpers and other installers.
Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and AirCo standards.
Properly start up, test, and commission completed HVAC systems.
Verify proper operation, airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical components, drainage, and system performance.
Identify installation challenges and communicate solutions or additional needs to management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
Protect the customer's home, flooring, furniture, and belongings.
Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation.
Explain basic system operation and answer customer questions.
Complete required job documentation, photos, equipment information, and paperwork.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Follow all AirCo safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Help train and develop less-experienced installers and helpers.
Hold yourself and your team accountable for quality, efficiency, safety, and professionalism.
At AirCo, being a Lead means more than having the most experience on the crew.
You will be expected to:
Set the standard for workmanship.
Teach and develop your teammates.
Keep the crew moving efficiently.
Communicate problems before they become bigger problems.
Take ownership when something doesn't go as planned.
Maintain a positive attitude, even on difficult jobs.
Make sure the job is done right-not just done fast.
Represent AirCo professionally in the customer's home.
The right candidate is someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team-not just someone looking for another job.
You should be:
An experienced residential HVAC installer
Comfortable leading a crew
Mechanically skilled and able to troubleshoot installation issues
Dependable and accountable
Detail-oriented
Customer-focused
A strong communicator
Willing to teach and develop others
Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and difficult environments
