The Lead HVAC Technician/Installer is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role leads a team of technicians, ensures projects are completed efficiently and safely, and maintains high-quality workmanship while meeting customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise HVAC installation projects from start to finish
Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems (residential and/or commercial)
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and company policies
Train, mentor, and support junior technicians and installers
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades on job sites
Perform system testing, inspections, and quality control checks
Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory for job readiness
Provide excellent customer service and explain system operations to clients
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (HVAC certification or trade school preferred)
5+ years of HVAC installation and service experience
Proven leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and components
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
EPA Certification (required)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
