The UCSF Department of Orthopedic Surgery seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Physiatrist with expertise in neuromuscular care: Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, chemodenervation, Intrathecal Baclofen Pump management, and electrodiagnostics in an academic or multispecialty setting.
The role includes clinical care, teaching, and research at UCSF Benioff Childrens Hospital Oakland and Mission Bay. Responsibilities include collaborating on research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and educating residents, fellows, and medical students.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay, determined by academic rank and step at the time of appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $149,700. This position is governed by the UC Health Sciences Compensation Plan, APM-670 (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which allows for eligibility for negotiated additional compensation. As such, the total negotiated salary (including base and negotiated components) can be significantly higher and can range up to $900,000, depending on individual qualifications, clinical productivity, and other factors assessed at the time of offer.
