Lead Infant Teacher (Daycare)

As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, ensuring the safety and well-being of infants, and building strong relationships with families and staff.

  • Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment for infants (ages 6 weeks12 months)
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate daily routines
  • Respond to infants physical, emotional, and developmental needs
  • Maintain accurate records of feeding, diapering, naps, and developmental milestones
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their childs progress and daily activities
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing, nutrition program, and safety regulations

Qualifications:

  • Preferred or willingness to obtain CDA, Associates, or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting
  • Strong understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
