    Make an Impact as a Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher

    You will serve as a team member in an assigned staff group and will be responsible for planning and implementing programs for children ages birth to three years old. You will be responsible for implementing classroom program in compliance with CCG standards, Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC criteria, and local and state licensing standards.

    Position Details

    Responsibilities

    • Manages classroom environment, and acts as team leader to set and meet classroom goals. Provides an attractive physical environment with functional learning centers that are appropriate for infant toddler children.
    • Assists in planning, preparation and implementation of work with children appropriate to development level based on RC3; includes developing curriculum, completing child assessments, maintaining records, etc.
    • Becomes familiar with routine of each classroom in which he/she may work. Submits reports, paperwork in timely manner.
    • Develops good relations with children and their families. Serves as a team member in assigned classroom.
    • Participates in parent meetings and parent conferences; conducts home visits per regulated in Performance Standards.
    • Responsible for general safety, indoors and outdoors. Reports hazardous situations to the Early Childhood Center Manager. Ensures that daily sanitation standards are maintained.
    • Requires the acquisition of knowledge and proficiency of the Head Start Electronic Information System and/or Redelearner Database within the introductory period of employment. ChildCareGroup will train the employee either directly or through the Database Training Department of Head Start of Greater Dallas, Inc.
    • Provides indirect supervision to the Teacher and Resource Teacher in classroom.
    • Serves as team member in assigned classroom
    • Assists in the inventory of and requests for equipment and supplies
    • Participates in the entry process of child into care giving group
    • Shares responsibility of setting up room for daily activities
    • Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent required, INFANT TODDLER Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associate's degree in child development or related field required, Bachelors degree preferred
    • One-year experience working with young children age's birth to three years old required
    • Must demonstrate desire to work with young children, have general knowledge of normal growth and development
    • Must demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
    • Must agree with agency goals and philosophy and agree to work within their framework

    Travel and Compliance Requirements

    • Must have a valid Texas driver's license
    • Driving record must comply with CCG's automobile insurance carrier requirements
    • Must have liability insurance coverage and reliable personal transportation
    • Ability to travel locally or out of town as required
    • Mileage reimbursement is offered when applicable
    • Must submit to and successfully pass all required CCG and Partner Program background checks throughout employment. These include FBI, Fingerprinting, Neglect and Abuse, Federal, State, Local, and Sex Offender background checks. Background check requirements may be expanded at the discretion of CCG and Partner Programs.
