Your Team & Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Lead, Infrastructure Administration Engineer to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role is critical to ensuring rapid incident response, maintaining business continuity, and continuously improving security operations.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills and thrives in environments requiring quick decision-making and adaptability.

 

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day    

Lead Security Operations

• Oversee daily security operations, including incident and change management

• Provide technical leadership to ensure rapid incident detection and resolution
• Participate in and lead response efforts for Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents
• Ensure operational readiness for troubleshooting and change execution
Manage & Develop a High-Performing Team
• Lead a distributed team of U.S.-based and offshore engineers (FTEs and contractors)
• Support career growth through coaching, mentoring, and skill development
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture
Drive Incident & Stakeholder Management
• Act as the escalation point for critical security incidents
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership and business stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-functional response efforts to minimize business impact
Collaborate Across Engineering Teams
• Partner with Perimeter and Edge Engineering teams to align operations with design
• Support rollout and operationalization of new security capabilities
Oversee Change & Risk Management
• Review and approve operational changes with appropriate risk assessments
• Identify and escalate risks tied to changes or exceptions
• Maintain accountability for production changes
Own Infrastructure & Lifecycle Management
• Manage lifecycle and health of: 
o Firewall platforms
o Proxy technologies (including Zscaler)
• Ensure systems are secure, updated, and optimized
Continuously Improve Operations
• Enhance processes, workflows, and operational standards
• Drive measurable improvements in efficiency and security outcomes

 

The Skills & Expertise You Bring  

Experience
• 8+ years in Security Operations
• Experience managing network and perimeter security environments
Technical Expertise
• Hands-on experience with: 
o Check Point and Cisco ASA firewalls
o Proxy solutions
o Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
o Zscaler (preferred)
• Strong understanding of: 
o Routing protocols
o Client/server architectures
o Network traffic flow (ingress/egress)
Skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including use of metrics and data
Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)
• CISSP
• CCNP Security
• Or equivalent certifications
Leadership
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow technical teams
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical groups
• Experience providing strategic and operational guidance

This is a night shift role (Estimated shift hours 6pm - 2am)

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $123,700.00 to $204,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
  • Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
